Methyl tin Heat Stabilizer is a high-efficiency stabilizer in the thermal processing of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Its stability, transparency and compatibility are better than organotin homologues such as butyl tin and octyl tin. It has been widely used in the processing of plates, profiles, pipes and hollow injection molded products.
Mercaptan methyl tin has been approved by the German Federal Health Service (BGa), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other world health regulators, and can be added to PVC products for food packaging. In foreign countries, all kinds of foods, pharmaceutical packaging and storage, pipes and containers for drinking water, such as pipes and containers, which have high hygiene requirements, have used methyl mercaptan as a stabilizer.
The development of methyl mercaptan has been in foreign countries for nearly 50 years. In the 1970s, the United States began production. The development of thiol methyl tin started late in China. The methyl mercaptan used in the early 1980s was all imported from TM-181-FS. After nearly 10 years of research and development to overcome many technical difficulties, one plant from Hubei built a production line with an annual output of 500 tons of methyl mercaptan in 1994, filling the domestic vacancy. The production line is very mature. A lot of product plants establish for manufacturing Methyl Tin stabilzer.
