What is CPVC ?
Simply speaking , CPVC is produced by pvc resin through chlorine.
In the early 1930s, some companies start to study CPVC producing, the intial method is solvent method, its application is mainly limited to Paint and Adhsive.
Since 1940s, the UK company ICI start to produce CPVC by Aqueous suspension method, later DOW took measure to improve
the quality and make better, then PVC by chlorie process become more and more important on the industry production.
In the early 1960s, Aqueous suspension method was applied in industrial production processes by BF Goodrich( Lubrizol). meanwhile, Chinese research institute start to study and produce CPVC. But it was limited to solvent method, so in the middle 1960s, CPVC were mainly used into paint, adhesive application in China.
For water-phase method, the key technology is how to control chlorine process,CPVC quality and properties are decided by Chlorine content and speed and the reaction temperature.
