Acrylic Impact Modifier (TIM 808,TIM 808A,TIM 809) is core-shell structure of Acrylic Impact Modifier.when pvc suffers external impact the rubber elastomers core can produce shear band and silver craze to transfer impact energy to heat, so AIM can greatly improve the impact-strength.

Generally, particle size, the core-shell structure and glass transition temperature can affect Acrylic impact modifier's impact strength.
Particle size from 150 to 200nm is optimum size.so you can judge it by following two principle, it is easy to produce silver craze and shear craze.
If you use our Novista Brand Acrylic impact modifier, it can totally cater for your different request. Adding 5PHR of Novista AIM in your formulation will have a good performance on impact.
Novista's AIM product ( including TIM 808,TIM 808A,TIM 809) own lower core Tg ,high core-shell ratio, meanwhile it is easy to process, it can reduce the fusion time to a certain degree.

Of course, any PVC Impact Modifier can't be perfect, generally speaking, AIM is opaque product, so it is hard to use into transparent products.But if it have no specific request on transparency, it will be a good choice.
